Get excited because it’s Friday and the weekend is nearly here. It’s the second weekend of June, and so much is happening. Summer is creeping in with the humid weather, and there’s plenty of things still going on in this Magic City. Starting this evening through Sunday night, the weekend is packed with lots to do. Our top five must-do items to add to your agendas include a little dose of just about everything. We’ve got an artsy happy hour, delicious clambake, amazing Britsh DJ/producer duo, 90s theme party, and the NBA Finals, all right here in our city. Let’s go!
Beats After Sunset at the Bass Museum
Start off the weekend with a very cultured happy hour at the Bass Museum on Friday night. Beats After Sunset takes place the first Friday of every month, so if you’ve missed it before, here’s your chance to check it out. From 8 to 11pm, the museum stays open for you to view the current exhibits, enjoy music by a live DJ, sip on some cocktails, and talk artsy things. It costs $10 for non-members of the Bass and is free for members. It all ends with an after party at Rokbar where Beats guests get one free drink from 11pm to midnight.
Clambake at The Forge
Summer is here, and with it comes all the delicious summertime food. Head over to The Forge for their weekly clambake on Fridays. The iconic restaurant has brought back this popular gathering for the second year. For just $49 per person, you get your choice of starter, entree, and dessert, with all draft beers at 2-for-1 prices. The menu includes seafood dishes like Oyster Po’ Boys, New England Clam Chowder, Grilled Maine Lobster, and BBQ Chicken. Dig in!
Knife Party at Mansion
If you’ve saved up all your energy for the weekend, Mansion is the place to let loose tonight. Super Fridays brings a very special edition with Knife Party in the DJ booth. The British duo come back to Miami for the first time since Winter Music Conference and the release of their EP Haunted House, so it’s sure to be one crazy, haunting night.

90s Homecoming at The Vagabond
Break out your scrunchies and grunge because Saturday night is the third annual 90s Homecoming at The Vagabond. The sister party to the infamous 80s Prom, the 90s Homecoming is always a fun night. Everyone dresses up in theme, whether it be a famous character from a 90s film or in those great fashions hiding at the back of your closet. There will be DJs spinning 90s pop, R&B, grunge, dance, and hip hop in the main room, bar room, and out back. Advanced tickets are $10.

NBA Finals at Hyde AAA
Sports fanatics, get ready. Game 2 of the NBA Finals takes place on Sunday night at 8pm right here in Downtown Miami at the AmericanAirlines Arena. Watch our Miami Heat take on the San Antonio Spurs and defend their title as the 2012 NBA Champions. If you’re lucky enough to score tickets, you’ll definitely want to be at Hyde’s AmericanAirlines Arena outpost to get in on all the action of the night. There’s always celebrities cheering on the team at the lounge hot spot, so you never know who you’ll see there. Let’s go Heat!
