Basel, Switzerland – June 10, 2013 – After the toast to kick off Design Miami/ Basel 2013 at the original Art Basel fair in Basel, Switzerland on Sunday, everyone was ready to check out the art on Monday. Yesterday was the special invite-only Vernissage where the galleries opened to select VIPs and collectors to get a first look at the entire fair. Among those browsing the collections were award-winning architect Zaha Hadid and Miami Design District pioneer Craig Robins. Over 4,000 exhibitors come from 300 leading galleries the world over to showcase a wide variety of art genres and talent. There’s the art fair itself along with other events, symposiums, films, and artist talks.
