If you’re like the rest of Miami, you probably don’t know what you’re doing yet this weekend. Lucky for you, it’s Friday and we’ve got your line-up of what to do right here with our brand spankin’ new weekend guide. On every Friday, World Red Eye will be bringing you a specially selected list of the hottest things going on for the weekend. Some of them are things we’ll also be at, covering all the action, and some of them we won’t be at but still think they’re going to be awesome. There’s so much constantly going on in Miami- in every area from DJs and musical acts to the arts and dining scene. There’s no reason to ever be sitting at home with nothing to do when we’ve got the great city of Miami as our backyard! We’re taking all the work out of it for you, and simplifying it down to this very essential list of things you need to check out. Maybe you can’t make all of them, but at least you know what’s going on and can pick one or two.
This weekend is without a doubt shaping up to be a great one. Need some guidance on how to make it awesome? Our top four things to do involve some delicious meals, celebrating mom, and music to your ears. Let’s get right to it!
Dinner at Joe’s Stone Crab
Start the weekend off by waiting an hour and a half to two hours for claws at Joe’s Stone Crab. No, it’s not sarcasm. These bad boys are worth the wait and the buck for the service and selection at Joe’s. Plus it’s the last weekend you can get to wear a bib and have at that infamous mustard sauce and key lime pie before stone crab season ends (on May 15). Dig in!

Digitalism at Bardot
Saturday night, after you finish art walking and feel like staying in the neighborhood, Bardot will be the hot spot to be at. A popular German electronic music duo that goes by the name of Digitalism is performing, which means it will probably be packed with hipsters and artsy folk. Get there early.

Sidney Samson at Mansion
If you’ve got Saturday Night Fever, Mansion will be a surefire cure for it. They’ve got Dutch DJ Sidney Samson on the decks, which means it will be a doozy. This is definitely going to be a late night rager, worth every minute of the hangover you’ll have on Sunday.
