Miami Beach, FL – April 29, 2013 – Music and motors joined in one room on Monday night. Tesla Motors teamed up with Park Avenue Pianos, known for their hard-to-find collection of Steinway grand pianos from the early 1900s. The Tesla showroom on Lincoln Road brought in a mint condition grand Steinway from 1916, most recently used and signed by Tony Bennett. As if the piano alone wasn’t of enough significance, Tesla had its award-winning Model S for VIPs to try out. Classical, Broadway, and jazz selections by celebrated NYC-based musicians Avery Amero and concert pianist Sophia Munoz, a 2008 YoungArts winner. Serbian pianist Jelena Djukic traveled all the way from Serbia to perform selections in honor of Nikola Tesla’s heritage. And Local FIU students from the Amernet Quartet also performed.
