Miami Beach, FL – April 27, 2013 – Happy Birthday to Locust Projects! The not-for-profit contemporary visual arts exhibition space in the Design District celebrated its 15 year anniversary last weekend. Their annual Spring Fling event was held at the visually stunning 1111 Lincoln Road parking structure. The host committee included power-house names in the art and design world like Sotheby’s, The Related Group, and Debra and Dennis Scholl among others. The city’s top art collectors and enthusiasts come out to support Locust Projects each year with a hip crowd. This past Saturday had everyone gathered on the rooftop for music, drinks, and delicious bites from some of the best restaurants in the city- Michael Schwartz’s Harry’s Pizzeria, everyone’s favorite burgers from South Beach’s Shake Shack, southern fare from Yardbird and Swine, some Thai flavors from Khong River House, and a giant birthday Misha’s Cupcake. There was a luxury goods silent auction, and a new silent art auction with hand-picked works from internationally-renownd artists.
