Miami, FL – May 10, 2013 – Natural skin care store Origins has just started carrying the Ojon specialty hair oils line. The Origins store at The Falls celebrated the launch of Ojon with Origins Global President and General Manager Jane Lauder, granddaughter of Estée Lauder. Ladies got to shop various Ojon products, among others, and enjoy healthy refreshments and music. World Red Eye got a chance to get a quick Q&A with this famous name in skincare and beauty.

World Red Eye: Your grandmother was one of the most successful businesswomen of her time. In what way has she inspired you?

Jane Lauder: My grandmother was very inspirational in many ways. I learned some very important lessons from her. One that I use all of the time is that if you believe in something, you can sell it – whether it is an idea or a product. She was extremely determined and never gave up, and every time I encounter a difficult situation in business, I think about her determination and how she would fight for what she believed in.

WRE: When did you realize that you wanted to work in the cosmetic industry and join the family company?

JL: I worked summers at different brands, but I realized that I wanted to work for the company after I graduated from college and spent a year working in the advertising industry. I realized that I enjoy business and it would be even more fulfilling to work for a company that I have a deep connection to.

WRE: Who is your beauty inspiration?

JL: My mother. She has beautiful skin and has stayed out of the sun. I wish that I had taken her advice more and stayed out of the sun when I was a teenager. I wear sunscreen daily, year-round. If I am in a tropical location, I wear a large brim hat and try to stay in the shade as much as possible.

WRE: What are your three favorite Origins products and why?

JL: Modern Friction makes my skin look amazing and glowing. Plantscription Anti-aging cream has helped to smooth my lines. GinZing Energizing moisturizer helps me look wide awake; even when I am suffering from jet lag.
