Doral, FL – April 13, 2013 – FIU’s Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine honored its inaugural class of 33 medical students, who graduate later this month, during the Sapphire Celebration at the Legends Ballroom in the Doral Golf Resort & Spa. The big night brought together medical, business, philanthropic and civic leaders from South Florida who supported the creation of the medical school at FIU, making it a fun gala with dinner, dancing, announcements, and more.
