Miami, FL – February 28, 2013 – Design Within Reach, meet Miami’s Design District. It was only a matter of time before the two met, and last week it was at the grand opening of the Design Within Reach Studio on 41 Street and NE 2nd Avenue. The nearly 14,000 square foot space is set in the heart of the very progressive design district. When you step inside, there are two main design “hubs” surrounded by eight different “rooms.”  The lighting installation is called the Light Cloud and has fixtures of all shapes, sizes, and watts for any space. The rooms show ideas for pretty much any kind of room- from a living or dining room to a workspace, bedroom, or even outdoor area. They let you test-drive your favorite pieces, move chairs around, and mix and match to get the juices flowing for what would be the perfect solution for your particular room. While the opening was quite the party with food and drink, a DJ, designers Brad Ascalon and Chris Hardy, and live photo booth, the Studio plans to hold other events throughout the year like To-the-Trade evenings, book signings and educational design sessions. Stay tuned for all kinds of design fun in the design district!
