Irie Weekend 2012 Ludus Welcome Party

Miami Beach, FL – June 28, 2012 – Ludus Athletics hosted a white hot carnavale themed kick-off party for the 8th Annual Irie Weekend. Guests at the Star Island kick-off party were wowed by fire dancers, contortionists, an array of costumed stilt walkers and feathered samba dancers. This is the second time Ludus Athletics and the IRIE Foundation have joined forces to host an event which combines fun, fashion and fundraising. Ludus is a Miami-based lifestyle brand that produces athletic apparel for women. The brand seeks to inspire women all over the world to reach their maximum capabilities and have a positive effect on society by giving back to their communities. Irie Weekend was founded by The Miami Heat’s DJ Irie. Funds raised throughout the weekend will go towards the provision of educational opportunities and scholarships for South Florida youth.
