Harry Benson Book Launch

Miami, FL – May 30, 2012 – The TASCHEN Store Miami hosted photojournalist Harry Benson to celebrate the official U.S. launch of“Harry Benson: The Beatles”. Over 100 guests filled the South Beach space to see both the newly released limited edition book, as well as the exhibition of both iconic and never-before-seen prints on display. Long time friend and Tiffany & Co. Design Director Emeritus John Loring introduced Harry, and much to the delight of the crowd encouraged him to tell personal anecdotes and funny stories of his time with The Beatles. The lively group in attendance asked many questions during the Q&A and even broke into singing a collective Beatles song “All My Loving” after Harry started the lyrics of his favorite Beatles tune, singing “Close your eyes and I’ll kiss you…” into the microphone. Benson commented that once he heard the Beatles composing that song in their hotel room, he knew he had the right assignment.

Beatles tracks played throughout the night, and sparkling wine was served to guests by the TASCHEN staff dressed in their traditional Miami whites.

A big Miami Beach gracias goes to both John Loring and Harry Benson for making the first stop on the Harry Benson world tour, the most successful in Miami Beach Store’s history.
