Miami, FL – December 16, 2011 – Last Friday, a jury comprised of notable designers, James Wall, Juan Carlos Arcila-Duque, Vincenzo Avanzato and Wade Allyn Hallock participated in a Designer Judging for DASH, Miami’s Design and Architecture Senior High. Students were judged on their re-designs of their assigned spaces in the ELLE DECOR Showhouse. The showhouse, a Design Miami satellite fair, the opened the weekend of Art Basel for three consecutive weekends and closed on December 18th. The showhouse was located in the 10,000 square-foot penthouse space on Paramount Bay’s 43rd floor and was originally designed by Lars Bolander, Tamzin Greenhill, Larry Laslo, Lynda Murray, Mario Nievera & Keith Williams, Deborah Wecselman, James Wall, Juan Carlos Arcila-Duque, Vincenzo Avanzato and Wade Allyn Hallock. All proceeds from the ELLE DECOR Showhouse benefitted DASH. The students had a chance to work closely with the designers and witness the transformation of the space from the beginning of installation to breakdown.
