Miami, FL – November 4, 2011 – Florida International University’s Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine held a benefit dinner at the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables in an effort to raise funding for the newly developed institution. The night was a success as members of the community gathered in not only support, but also celebration of this latest asset to our community. President Mark B. Rosenberg spoke of the many ways in which the school and community work well together and are mutually vital to the success of each student. The College of Medicine has already began classes for their third class of intellectual students who continue to impress professors and peers alike. Herbert Wertheim was present at the Benefit Dinner and expressed his appreciation for all of those who have and continue to contribute to the College of Medicine.
