Aventura, FL – July 1, 2011 – Dramatically enhancing the Louis Vuitton experience for Miami customers, Louis Vuitton unveiled its newest South Florida location in Aventura Mall.   In celebration of Louis Vuitton’s new Miami home, the Aventura location features a space dedicated to a rotation of contemporary art by renowned artists. The first exhibit features an original piece by Brazilian artist, Vik Muniz, whose knack for creating contemporary art and unique pieces has made his art the subject of the 2011 Academy-Award Nominated documentary, WASTE LAND. Using a variety of artistic mediums, the exhibit features a wooden sculpture composed of 23 iconic “LV” logos individually stacked upon a single base surrounded by creative drawings and artwork that showcased the logo like it has never been seen before. The new location not only presented one-of-a-kind artwork, but Louis Vuitton made a special donation to SPECTACULU – a School of Scenic Arts, Design and Photography for adolescents in high-risk environments, giving support and professional development to more than 200 students from in and around Rio de Janeiro. The location is only a temporary spot for Louis Vuitton to showcase their products with the permanent location soon opening in another space within Aventura Mall.
