Miami Beach, FL – February 26, 2011 –Miami’s Design District represents not only the chicest, hippest, and newest in furniture, fashion, and art. It is currently THE hot spot for bold, creative, extraordinary food. The three restaurants featured in tonight’s dine around: Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink, Sra. Martinez, and Fratelli Lyon each will each be paired up with chefs who have won both the Food & Wine Magazine Best New Chef and James Beard Foundation Award. At Michael’s Genuine Executive Chef Michael Schwartz will team up with Iron Chef Michael Symon, also the 2010 Amstel Light Burger Bash champion. At Sra. Martinez, Chef Michelle Bernstein welcomed John Besh from Restaurant August into her kitchen. Over at Fratelli Lyon, Ken Lyon shared the chopping board with Andrew Carmellini from Locanda Verde in NYC. All diners gathered together for passed hors d’oeuvres on the outdoor patio at Vino & Olio. From there, guests chose one of three groups as they made their rotation from one restaurant to the next, each of which served guests one course of their evening’s meal, along with a different wine pairing at each location. At the conclusion of guests third course, everyone concluded the evening at Ornare for a dessert finale. It was indeed an evening of pure delight in one of Miami’s greatest neighborhoods.
