Miami Beach, FL – September 15, 2010 – Venus Williams hosted her very own “Come To Win” book signing at the Books & Books at Bal Harbour Shops on Wednesday. While most self-help books by athletes are ghost written and feature a plethora of tired cliche’s and vague open ended advice (“You need to decide to succeed!”), Venus went ahead and gathered an A-list crop of folks successful in their respective fields and picked their brains.

The book follows Venus from a young age. She became a pro tennis player at 14, beat the No. 50 ranked player at the time, and has continue to kick ass ever since. Venus became the first African-American to reach the No. 1 ranking in either women or men’s pro tennis, has won multiple Grand Slam titles, three Olympic gold medals, and is always the snappiest dresser on the tennis court. She also graduated cum laude with a degree in fashion design from the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale and launched her own athletic and casual wear clothing line. Venus could’ve just written this book all on her own, really.  [Miami New Times]
