Miami Beach, FL – July 16, 2010 – Swim week is always the most exciting and most anticipated time of the year for me, so you can imagine how rewarding it is when I see these gorgeous photos from my 2011 Collection launch event and fashion show! The Setai was truly the perfect backdrop to our tribal themed celebration. We kicked off the night with an intimate media dinner at The Restaurant at The Setai and at 10pm The Setai was transformed into a sexy backdrop for the inca fashion show.The show kicked off with tribal drum players and fireeaters! I always try to do things a little differently, not a traditional show, and this was the perfect example of how an interactive show can really draw in and capture your audience.

This season, my inca collection modernizes the bohemian aesthetic that I’ve always followed: beading and Swarovski crystal detailing with retro paisley, wave and ethnic-inspired prints that pay homage to my playful roots. Feminine ruffles on one-piece cutout monokinis, new under-wired bandeaus and halter styles are paired with muted jewel tones in coral, sky blue, lilac, black and cream that flaunt your inner flirt. Something that really sets us apart from other swim designers is that there are a lot of pieces from the collection that can truly go from day to night. You can be out on the beach all day, throw on an inca signature embellished tunic with jeans and some jewelry and you’re just as sizzling hot on the beach as you are having a drink at the lounge! The collection is meant to mix and match, the individual tones and textures merge to flaunt any look from boho-chic to utterly glamorous!

I moved to Miami a little over a year ago not knowing what to expect. As a resort and swimwear designer I knew I would draw a lot of inspiration here and how important it was to be in this tropical environment. I can’t tell you how much I love being based in Miami. Locals and visitors alike always stop into our store at The Gansevoort, and its from that support that inca is growing at such a fast rate. The sexy flavor Miami has to offer leaves me with endless ideas. See you next year when I debut Cruise Collection 2012!
