June 12, 2010 – It’s hard to believe that just a month ago, Wallace Tutt helped Seth and I plan the Harbour Island wedding of our dreams. Wallace Tutt is one of the true south beach pioneers, renegades and legends. From the Versace Mansion, to Cher’s house, to the Astor Hotel, Wallace left his legacy in some of the most recognizable design and architecture in our city.

Similarly, in Harbour Island, he once again had a vision for a special place and made it his permanent residence almost a decade ago. Wallace not only moved to the Bahamas, he truly made it his home. He built an island paradise at the Rock House and invited the rest of the world to come enjoy the magic he felt on this small Bahamian island.

He was just telling us his five year plan for more great development in Harbour Island and in his home state of Alabama. I am truly sad to hear of his passing and will never forget the special time he made possible for Seth and I and the mark he has left on our lives.
