PAMM Third Thursday Poplife Social & Opening Celebration of Eugenio Espinoza: Unruly Supports

Miami, FL – March 19, 2015 – The Pérez Art Museum Miami kicked off its new partnership with Poplife, masterminds behind Miami’s famously sought-after and sold-out independent acts, to host PAMM Third Thursdays: Poplife Social, every third Thursday of the month through September, 6-9pm. This month’s act featured record producer and club DJ Arthur Baker spinning a rare live session. Visitors also celebrated the opening of Eugenio Espinoza: Unruly Supports (1970 – 1980), which features more than 50 exceptional works focusing on the artists’ practice from the 1970s. Throughout the evening, visitors also enjoyed happy hour drink and food specials, art-making and gallery scavenger hunts for prizes.

Miami Beach, FL – December 5, 2014 – Niche Media, the premier regional, luxury lifestyle publishing company and Art Basel magazine, its custom magazine for the Art Basel Miami Beach contemporary art fair, celebrated the industry’s most influential women in the art world at their exclusive luncheon on Friday morning at Katsuya at the SLS Hotel. The afternoon celebration was hosted by Art Basel magazine Editor-in-Chief, Sue Hostetler, with partnership by presenting sponsor Baha Mar. Four women whose careers have made a long-lasting impact on the art community were celebrated. This year’s honorees included: Lynda Benglis, American sculptor and visual artist; Teresita Fernandez, contemporary sculptor; Madeleiene Gyrnzstejn, the Pritzker Director of the Museum of Contemporary Arts, Chicago; and Brooke Neidich, philanthropist and co-chair of the Whitney Museum of American Art. Guests of the fete included international luminaires incorporated leaders across art, culture and technology.

Miami Beach, FL – December 5, 2013 – Getting in on the Art Basel Miami Beach action, The Fontainebleau Miami Beach invited artist Tracey Emin to unveil her newest edition to the Art of Fontainebleau. Her piece, I Followed You to the Sun—a work in neon—made it’s Basel debut in the Vida Corridor. The lighting was followed by an book signing of her latest tome, Angel Without You, afterward at Scarpetta.

The event marks Emin’s first solo U.S. museum exhibition, which opened the same week at the Museum of Contemporary Art, and was attended by Jacqueline Soffer, principal of Turnberry Associates and curator of the Fontainebleau Miami Beach art collection, and Phil Goldfarb, president and COO of Fontainebleau Miami Beach

Women in Arts Luncheon at Lure Fishbar

Miami Beach, FL – December 6, 2013 – It was an afternoon that explored the arts more feminine side when Niche Media celebrated the industry’s most influential women in the art world with an exclusive luncheon at Lure Fishbar at Loews Miami Beach Hotel. Sue Hostetler, editor in chief of Art Basel Magazine, which is produced by Niche Media, and Nadja Swarovski, member of the Swarovski executive board, co-hosted the event for four women whose careers have long-impacted the art community. Honorees included Tracey Emin, a renowned British contemporary artist; Agnes Gund, philanthropist, collector and president emerita of Museum of Modern Art; Ann Philbin, director of the Hammer Museum; and Lisa Dennison, Sotheby’s chairman for North and South America.

While enjoying a beautiful meal, guests took in the words of guest speaker Anna Korologos, former U.S. secretary of labor, chairman emeritus of the Aspen Institute and Board Member of the Kellogg Company, American Airlines, and Michael Kors Corporation.

Miami Beach, FL – November 30, 2011 – The Art Basel VIP preview is the most exclusive day of the art fair. With 260 galleries all within the Miami Beach Convention Center, celebs like Michael Douglas, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Naomi Campbell, & Diddy all came to have their first pick of the art. Diddy reportedly put down around $95,000 for a 2011 neon work by British artist Tracey Emin which spells out in bright letters “I Listen to the Ocean and All I Hear is You,” from Lehmann Maupin Gallery. The day also brought out the likes of Warner Music Group chairman-CEO recorded music Lyor Cohen; artist and director Julian Schnabel; billionaire Eli Broad (who’s also the founding chairman of L.A.’s Museum of Contemporary Art); a group from the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
