Miami Beach, FL – September 20, 2011 – After a few years hiatus, the deliciously refined liqueur Mandarine Napoléon is re-launching in the U.S., beginning in Miami. For those who know Mandarine Napoléon, the first spirit to combine mandarins and aged cognac is legendary. Dating back to the hands of Napoléon Bonaparte, the liqueur was created specially for the notorious emperor and immediately became his drink of choice. To celebrate its official reintroduction to the market, Mandarine Napoléon will be hosting a commemorative “The Hat is Back” themed party at the distinguished Soho Beach House. Guests are asked to don their favorite headwear, paying homage to the Emperor famously known for sporting his black-colored bicorne.
With a guest list consisting of Miami’s most fashionable and influential, the fully produced event featured seven complimentary Mandarine Napoléon cocktails, including Les Invalides, Napoleons’ Conquest and Coco Napoléon, a contortionist, photo booth and hat station. Also in attendance was Mandarine Napoléon’s owner, Marc de Kuyper (32), 11th generation of De Kuyper Royal Distillers, which acquired the brand in 2008. Orange and amber overtones pervaded throughout the evening while hued lighting and colorful projections will create an elegant and sophisticated atmosphere. In addition, DJ Shlomi spinned tracks inspired by the South of France, playing upon the brand’s European roots.
