Locust Projects’ Annual Spring Fling: Black & White Bash
Miami, FL – April 9, 2016 – Locust Projects’ highly-anticipated annual Spring Fling fundraiser re-imagined Truman Capote’s glamorous 1966 Black & White Ball in Miami Design District’s Palm Court, truly creating a night to remember. The Silent Art Auction “Making It Gray” curated by Claire Breukel featured a selection of artworks by leading contemporary artists: Stephan Balkenhol, Loriel Beltran, Joe Bradley, Autumn Casey, Westen Charles, Susan Lee Chun, Ann Craven, Mark Dion, Sean Duffy, Egan Frantz, Luis Gispert, Valerie Hegarty, Maria García Ibáñez, David Jang, Barry Ledoux, Kim McCarty, Ronald Moran, Kori Newkirk, Ruben Ochoa, Nate Page, Alejandro Palomino, Cameron Platter, Jon Pylypchuk, Cristina Lei Rodriguez, Claire Sherman, Quentin Shih, Tony Tasset, Elizabeth Withstandley, and Nate Young. The Silent Luxury Auction also featured hand picked goods from high end fashion brands, top hotels, restaurants, and design boutiques. The event’s host committee included power-house names including Debra and Dennis Scholl, Jorge Perez and The Related Group, John S. & James L. Knight Foundation, and Holland & Knight LLP, who teamed up to plan this signature event.
